Com. S.K.Vyas, the legendary leader of the Central Govt. Employees and Pensioners, is no more. He passed away at about 08.20 PM on 13 February 2015, at a Jaipur hospital, where he was admitted a few days back after a massive heart attack. He was recovering, but all of a sudden, the situation worsened and he passed away. 

          He was 85 years. 

         His funeral will take place at Jodhpur on 14th Feb 2015. Com. Vyasji was the Secretary General of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and workers since 1967 for more than four decades. He was holding the posts of Secretary General of both BCPC and NCCPA, Federations of Pensioners Associations till his end. 

       His death is an irreparable loss to the entire CGE and Pensioners movement. 

       With deep grief and extreme sorrow, we convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, friends and comrades.

Appeal

We appeal on behalf of 2.7 Lakhs of GDS employees all unions/Federation in the department of posts to extend support to the indefinite strike from 10-03-2015 for the cause of GDS employees.

The CHQ call upon the All CWC Member's/Circle/Divisional/Branch Secretaries and active member's make the indefinite strike from 10.03.2015 programme a resounding success. It is requested you made press conference and other publicity to poplies our demand. A report may also be sent to the CHQ.     

We request you kindly to translate this circular letter in local language and circulate among the staff. This fact may be explained to the membership through group meetings or meetings and general body meetings.

CHARTER OF DEMANDS

1.    Regularize GDS employees and grant all benefits at par with Department employees.

2.    Appoint Judiciary committee to examine wage structure and service conditions of GDS.

3.    Stop corporatization of postal department based on the report of Task Force committee.
